Brynn’s Eloise Shoes

Brynn’s Eloise shoes

I have been meaning to write a post about Brynn’s most prized accessory in life(other than Kitty), her bright pink “Eloise” shoes. Brynn absolutely loves the movie, Eloise at the Plaza. Back in November I took Brynn and Cooper to Gap, as I was carrying a new born, destroying the neatly arranged clothing piles(sorry Gap employees, it’s always me), and monitoring my disappearing/reappearing toddler, then what to my wondering eye did appear?? My beautiful child, waddling her miniature body throughout the store, all the while screaming my name MAMA, look look look, my beautiful Eloise shoes!!! (the shoes were attached together with the elastic band) Brynn couldn’t move her feet more than one inch apart, so it was a very long, loud, and arduous process of finding each other in the store. Finally, here she was standing before me in the cutest pair of pink patent leather shoes, with her beaming smile and cutest model pose(popping her hip out, while both hands on hips), “don’t you just lub them mama”, how could I say no to that!!! After spending 20 minutes searching for her tennis shoes she was originally wearing and talking the sales lady into letting her wear them home, we were on our way home with our beautiful Eloise shoes. Now I have no idea why she refers to them as her Eloise shoes, in the movie Eloise wears a pair of black patent leather shoes. Who knows, and quite honestly I don’t care, it is just the cutest accessory to my already adorable little girl.

The shoes are the perfect pairing with all of her princess dresses, pajamas, tutus, and not to forget they dress up a pair of jeans and a t-shirt flawlessly. It will be a sad day when we have to retire the Eloise shoes, but until then Brynn Liz will twirl, model, and strut her stuff in her FAVORITE shoes.

We love you Brynn Lizzy Eloise. (shoe picture to come)

Here is a not so great quality photo. More to come.

My Big Girl

My sweet, terrible, spirited, stubborn, loving, gregarious, beautiful daughter is finally FULLY potty trained. I am so proud of you my Brynn Liz!! I know it was a long process but in the end KITTY came to the rescue and was the ULTIMATE reward.

Over the last 2-3 months we have been trying everything, ice cream, candy, Disneyland, pre-school, trips, etc. to get her trained to go #2 in the potty. Then one day, my boss was telling me a story about one of her daughter’s beloved blanky and how she had to take it away to stop her thumb sucking. Right then it popped into my head!! I had to leverage Brynn’s beloved Kitty. I got home and Brynn went #2 in her pull up, so I grabbed kitty, without her seeing and said Kitty ran away, and I told her kitty told me she won’t come back until you go #2 in the potty! Brynn was horrified and cried her little eyes out. It broke our hearts, but that didn’t last too long, because within a ½ hour Brynn was on the potty and doing her thing!!! I was stunned, shocked, Ben and I were amazed at how quickly it worked. Kitty came back and she was happy again, so the next day she did her thing in the pull up again, and kitty went away, this time for the WHOLE night, I know I am a terrible mom, but it had to be done. Day three no poop in the pull up only in the potty, day four same thing, little mishap on day five, and as of today we are #2 free. We have had the peepee down for some time, but now I can officially say we have a FULLY POTTY TRAINED GIRL.

Brynn Liz I am soooo proud of you!!!

Pics to come soon, we are switching internet services, so we don’t have a connection as of yet!!
