Puzzled

My Brynn Liz had her last day at Gina’s Gymboree. Over the last three years Brynn has spent the majority of her week at Gina’s, she has now graduated, and is now on to Preschool. Yes that is correct my baby girl is heading to PRESCHOOL, I just can’t believe it!

I knew she was getting ready to make the switch being 3 and all, but I didn’t realize how emotional it was going to be for me, not Brynn, just me! Emotional mom over here, not emotional because she is growing up (well maybe that too) but because of who she is becoming. She is so grown up, in so many ways, her logic is incredible. For instance she wanted to know how everyone was related, why Nana is my mom, what’s Nana’s name and Pa’s name and how Grandma Gwen is Pa’s MOMMY, and then she couldn’t understand why Nolan and Julia didn’t have our same last name? I know everyone thinks their child is the best, and gosh, why would you want to have it any other way. I am Brynn’s #1 fan (oh and her daddy too), I am proud of her every day.
Lately she has become quite obsessed/talented with puzzles, she loves doing puzzles, and not the 5-6 piece shapes and fruit puzzles, the 24-36 piece jigsaw puzzles. Brynn will sit at the table, by herself and complete all of her puzzles, with no help! She has quite the talent and patience.

Brynn Liz of course still loves to dress up in costumes and put on concerts for us in the living room. With one exception, she now requests that we applause when she has finished an act. I have quite the little diva on my hands. We went to see Julia in “Bye Bye Birdie” and now she goes around the house singing, “we love you Conrad, oh yes we do, we love you Conrad, and we’ll be true…” it is too funny. Brynn also loves her some Lady Antebellum, and she sings “it’s a quarter after one, I’m a little drunk and I need you now” I was crying I laughed so hard. Obviously we tried to teach her to use a different word, but I still laugh thinking about it. She knows her shapes and will quiz you on them, “Mom, what shape is this M: Square? B: No Mom that is a rectangle, M: oops sorry Brynn, B: It’s ok mom, try again.” I say this at every age, and I know soon enough I won’t be able to… but this is my favorite age, hey maybe every age will be my favorite with my kiddos, I sure hope so!!

On September 7th Brynn will have her first day at Born Learners Preschool, we (Brynn especially) are so excited. My Brynn Lizzy, you simply amaze me.

Love Mom.

My Big Boy

Cooper is 11 months today, I can't believe it.

Here are a few of Cooper's 10/11 month milestones.

Coop is walking, no more than 4-5 steps, after the fourth step he will have this crazy intense look on his face, drop to all four and crawl as fast as he can.

Words:Mama, Dada, Nana, and lots of funny noises my dad taught him. He loves to fake cough, sing lalalalalal, make zerbert noises and he has found his inner scream (it is up there with Brynn's, wow).

Mannerisms: He is such a boy, by boy I mean rough and tumbly. He loves to crawl OVER everything, it doesn't even occur to him to go around the object. He loves playing with Brynn, and she (most of the time) has a great time playing with him. Brynn calls Cooper buddy, it is so cute, i think she got it from Ben and me, but it has stuck and I have to say it is super cute. Her favorite line, "oh buddy, you okay, your ok, c'mon lets play".

Stats: Cooper was 20.8lbs and 29.8 inches at his 10 month appointment, that is 40% for weight and 60% for height.

Agility: He is throwing with his right hand, and his Dad couldn't be happier. That is Coop's favorite activity beside swimming. Throwing balls chasing them, picking them up, throwing them....you get it. He plays catch with Ben almost every night and he LOVES it, to say the least.

Daily Activities: Since he is still going to my moms while Ben and I work, he gets to go swimming all the time,he just loves being in the water, if you go in without him he will let you know that he is PISSED(the screaming I mentioned earlier)!!! He is a water baby just like his big sister. I put him in the floaty and push him while I do laps, it's fun to workout while spending time with my boy.

I just can't say enough about my big boy, I have started the Birthday planning!! I can't believe Coop is going to be 1 in exactly a month. Where did the last year go, my sweet baby boy. I just love you Cooper, I can't wait to see you grow in this next year.

Love you, my sweet boy.

Mom.
