I knew she was getting ready to make the switch being 3 and all, but I didn’t realize how emotional it was going to be for me, not Brynn, just me! Emotional mom over here, not emotional because she is growing up (well maybe that too) but because of who she is becoming. She is so grown up, in so many ways, her logic is incredible. For instance she wanted to know how everyone was related, why Nana is my mom, what’s Nana’s name and Pa’s name and how Grandma Gwen is Pa’s MOMMY, and then she couldn’t understand why Nolan and Julia didn’t have our same last name? I know everyone thinks their child is the best, and gosh, why would you want to have it any other way. I am Brynn’s #1 fan (oh and her daddy too), I am proud of her every day.
Lately she has become quite obsessed/talented with puzzles, she loves doing puzzles, and not the 5-6 piece shapes and fruit puzzles, the 24-36 piece jigsaw puzzles. Brynn will sit at the table, by herself and complete all of her puzzles, with no help! She has quite the talent and patience.
Brynn Liz of course still loves to dress up in costumes and put on concerts for us in the living room. With one exception, she now requests that we applause when she has finished an act. I have quite the little diva on my hands. We went to see Julia in “Bye Bye Birdie” and now she goes around the house singing, “we love you Conrad, oh yes we do, we love you Conrad, and we’ll be true…” it is too funny. Brynn also loves her some Lady Antebellum, and she sings “it’s a quarter after one, I’m a little drunk and I need you now” I was crying I laughed so hard. Obviously we tried to teach her to use a different word, but I still laugh thinking about it. She knows her shapes and will quiz you on them, “Mom, what shape is this M: Square? B: No Mom that is a rectangle, M: oops sorry Brynn, B: It’s ok mom, try again.” I say this at every age, and I know soon enough I won’t be able to… but this is my favorite age, hey maybe every age will be my favorite with my kiddos, I sure hope so!!
On September 7th Brynn will have her first day at Born Learners Preschool, we (Brynn especially) are so excited. My Brynn Lizzy, you simply amaze me.
Love Mom.
