My Girl is 3!!!

I still can't believe it, my baby girl is 3 years old. March 9th 2010, my first born baby girl flew through her first three years of life in a flash. As we sit at the dinner table night after night I find myself in awe of this perfect little girl, with her tenacious quest of asking anything and knowing everything. Brynn Liz brightens every one of my days, especially when she sings Annie songs in her bed and she is supposed to be sleeping, or when she wakes up and I say I love you my girl and she replies with "thank you, can you please just get me some orange juice", or when I pick her up from school and she says "did you miss me again today mommy", I could go on and on about my Brynn Lizzy she is definitely our number 1 girl!
We headed to Dr. Berkman (Dr.B) yesterday for Brynn's three year appointment and her measurements were 36inches (53 percentile) and 27lbs(29th percentile) this will be the last year of the percentile averages, I was wondering when that process would end. Well I guess they never really end, we will just switch to education percentiles now, oh YAY! ;)
For Brynn's third birthday we had a few days of celebration (of course, like mother like daughter) the first party was hosted at her school on Friday the 5th of March. There are a few pictures below. The kids were excited to get cupcakes, and Brynn was so excited to wear the birthday Tiara. (Tiara's are big in this house)My favorite was one of the little girls Sammi she mowed her cupcake down and followed me around for the next hour in the hopes of scoring another one, it was too darn cute. The next night of Birthday festivities was hosted at Aunt Kim's house on Saturday. Brynn was wearing her adorable birthday outfit that she picked out, a pink tutu with a special bday t-shirt, tights, and her pink chuck tailors/converse (sp?), it was the cutest outfit ever. One of the biggest items of the day was Brynn's cake, she was very adamant that the cake be all chocolate and when we got to Aunt Kim's all she wanted to eat was the cake nothing else was relevant. The guests in attendance for the shindig were the following, Nana, Pa, Aunt Kim, Nolan, Julia, Mom, Dad, Cooper, Great Grandma Lupe, Uncle James, Samantha, Jessie (Julia's friend), Emily(Owen) and Jim. It was a great day and Brynn was given her first bike, of course it is a pretty pink princess bike, Brynn received lots of great presents from everyone, she is one loved girl.
Brynn has had quite a year, not only did she become a big sister but she has blossomed into a articulate well mannered (well most of the time) little lady. We are so proud of you our Brynn Liz and we are so truly blessed to have you in our lives. We love you Mom, Dad and Coop'a'loop.

Below, are some great pictures a variety including her Birthday.

Cooper at 5 months

Cooper's 5 month appointment, he was 15lbs and 24.5 inches.

Cooper is now turning over both ways, sitting up on his own and finally enjoys tummy time. Coop has the best temperament, he will grab your face and stare into your eyes and just smile his big goofy beautiful smile and you can't help it your heart just melts. His face lights up every time his big sister Brynn runs into the room and say's 'hello mama's boy" and she means it with the utmost sincerity, although we have established that one day in the distant future she may use that line in front of his friends or dare i say it girlfriend with the utmost insincerity. Brynn LOVES her baby "broder"" so much, she can't help but pull out his pacifier, tackle him with kisses and suffocate him with hugs.
Cooper lights up when I get home from work, and let me just say I adore that moment each and every day. I will take him in my arms and he looks over at his dad and without saying a word you know what he saying, "my mama is home, and I am not letting her go, sorry dad". Weill that is what I think he is saying and until he utters his first word, which better be mama, that is what he is saying when I get home everyday. :)
Cooper had a great January he caught his first cold, went to a few baby showers potential future girlfriends are on the way, had some quality mom and dad time and had his first month of formula. Mom was sad but because of the antibiotics I had to go on no more bf for the Cooper, he adjusted amazingly well. Coop is sleeping through the night going to bed around 8:30 and sleeping until 6am or so. Mommy and Daddy are truly blessed another great sleeper.

Some pics to see how Cooper is growing.

Christmas Eve 2009

One of the best traditions our family has (the Case side) is Christmas Eve. Every year the entire Case clan (and there are a whole lot of us) get together for Christmas Eve. It was traditionally at my Grandma's house, but in the recent years we have relocated it to my Uncle Scott's house just down the street. My dad is the eldest of 7 children, so needless to say there is a whole lotta family to go around.
We do a Christmas exchange every year, and it is just the most amazing sight to walk into the house and look under the Christmas Tree and see ALL OF THOSE PRESENTS!! This was Brynn's third Case family Christmas and boy was she excited. Julia was our savior that night, Brynn wanted nothing to do with you, unless your name was JULIA. Brynn loves her cousin Julia so much, she couldn't even let her leave the room without her trailing closely behind, yelling her name, and running after her.
This was Cooper's 1st Case Christmas and I think it will be his tamest for years to come. For the first time in a long time Cooper was the only baby (under 1 yld). Boy did he get attention from the ladies, they just loved my little man. Who could resist him in his flannel shirt and jeans!!! Cooper hung out in the arms of his Pa for a good part of the night. He definitely felt content just hanging with his Pa.

I have some great pictures from that night. Here they are below.

Mammoth Trip Christmas 2009

This year marked our first Annual Mammoth Ski Trip as a family (does it count as annual if it was the first one, huh, oh well).

It was everything I expected and wanted for our first trip. We made a snowman (small but mighty), sledded, skied, watched the snow fall, played board games, and best of had some GREAT family time. Some of my best childhood memories I have are our family ski trips to Colorado. Personally I have no idea how my dad tolerated us in a car for so long, but he did, and I can say that I cherish those memories to this day. That is why I want to make Mammoth our annual family ski trip (it's a lot closer then Colorado). My sister has done it the past 4 years with her family and now we are joining in on the tradition. I didn't put Brynn on ski's this year, she was a little under the weather, but I definitely will next year. I cant wait!!! Here are some pictures that show just how much fun we had.

Oh did i mention it snowed the last night we were there, well it did, and Ben was pumped to have to dig our car out of the snow with a shovel. I don't think I will ever convince him to live where it snows. I told him we could get a heated driveway, but he wasn't buyin it.

Pa and Cooper, they were inseparable.

My girl all bundled up, with her Nana

Ka Ka Rarr she has been watch UP the movie a lot.

The Three of Us.

Oops that was deeper then I thought it was.

Our mini snowman, I told you it was small but mighty.

Cooper was there too, he just didn't get out much.

My two boys. I love them.

Getting ready to go sledding.

Brynn wasn't so into it!!

This is the best one of the trip.

And the Best Picture of ALL!!!

This was the best trip yet!! Can't wait for the years to come.

Our Annual Holiday Disneyland Trip

If you read this blog you can see that taking Brynn to Disneyland at Christmas has become a tradition, yes I know we go a lot, but there is just something so magical about Disneyland at Christmas time. Brynn is really into EVERYTHING Disney now, she calls out the characters, sings along to Pirates of the Caribbean, Small World, and loves to fly high on Dumbo! A few rides she doesn't care for, Pinocchio, Mr. Toads Wild Ride, and Snow White, to be honest I don't blame her.
One of the best experiences of this trip had to be Brynn's eagerness to see Santa and sit on his lap. I was a little worried that after waiting in line for so long she would talk herself out of it, but she didn't, and she hopped right up there and asked him for.....PRESENTS, she had a list of things going up there, but I don't blame her is famous and it is easy to get a little nervous around the big guy.

Cooper stayed home with dad and watched football, it was a bit to cold for him. He needed some man time anyway. ;)

I have a few pictures and a video.

Checking out the map to make sure things haven't changed too much.

The Big Tree!

Dumbo, SOOO Excited

And to end the day I got to see my Best Friend Jenn and her adorable little girl Cadence. As you can see Brynn was tuckered out.

Heres to a great Christmas Disney Day.

Getting Ready for Christmas December 2009

Wow, I can't believe how time is flying by. I started back to work in December and once my feet hit the ground it has been non stop. Here in the Camacho house we love the holidays. We get our tree the weekend of Thanksgiving so we can have it up all month long. Brynn was so much fun this year, she helped decorate the tree by telling me where to put everything. She has mastered the skills of delegation at the age of 2! We invested in some new ornaments this year, the non breakable kind, we learned from last years mistakes, that glass bulbs do not belong in a home with a toddler or newborn.

Here are some of our pictures from this years Christmas tree.
