Mammoth Trip Christmas 2009

This year marked our first Annual Mammoth Ski Trip as a family (does it count as annual if it was the first one, huh, oh well).

It was everything I expected and wanted for our first trip. We made a snowman (small but mighty), sledded, skied, watched the snow fall, played board games, and best of had some GREAT family time. Some of my best childhood memories I have are our family ski trips to Colorado. Personally I have no idea how my dad tolerated us in a car for so long, but he did, and I can say that I cherish those memories to this day. That is why I want to make Mammoth our annual family ski trip (it's a lot closer then Colorado). My sister has done it the past 4 years with her family and now we are joining in on the tradition. I didn't put Brynn on ski's this year, she was a little under the weather, but I definitely will next year. I cant wait!!! Here are some pictures that show just how much fun we had.

Oh did i mention it snowed the last night we were there, well it did, and Ben was pumped to have to dig our car out of the snow with a shovel. I don't think I will ever convince him to live where it snows. I told him we could get a heated driveway, but he wasn't buyin it.

Pa and Cooper, they were inseparable.

My girl all bundled up, with her Nana

Ka Ka Rarr she has been watch UP the movie a lot.

The Three of Us.

Oops that was deeper then I thought it was.

Our mini snowman, I told you it was small but mighty.

Cooper was there too, he just didn't get out much.

My two boys. I love them.

Brynn wasn't so into it!!

This was the best trip yet!! Can't wait for the years to come.

Our Annual Holiday Disneyland Trip

If you read this blog you can see that taking Brynn to Disneyland at Christmas has become a tradition, yes I know we go a lot, but there is just something so magical about Disneyland at Christmas time. Brynn is really into EVERYTHING Disney now, she calls out the characters, sings along to Pirates of the Caribbean, Small World, and loves to fly high on Dumbo! A few rides she doesn't care for, Pinocchio, Mr. Toads Wild Ride, and Snow White, to be honest I don't blame her.
One of the best experiences of this trip had to be Brynn's eagerness to see Santa and sit on his lap. I was a little worried that after waiting in line for so long she would talk herself out of it, but she didn't, and she hopped right up there and asked him for.....PRESENTS, she had a list of things going up there, but I don't blame her is famous and it is easy to get a little nervous around the big guy.

Cooper stayed home with dad and watched football, it was a bit to cold for him. He needed some man time anyway. ;)

I have a few pictures and a video.

Checking out the map to make sure things haven't changed too much.

And to end the day I got to see my Best Friend Jenn and her adorable little girl Cadence. As you can see Brynn was tuckered out.

Heres to a great Christmas Disney Day.

Getting Ready for Christmas December 2009

Wow, I can't believe how time is flying by. I started back to work in December and once my feet hit the ground it has been non stop. Here in the Camacho house we love the holidays. We get our tree the weekend of Thanksgiving so we can have it up all month long. Brynn was so much fun this year, she helped decorate the tree by telling me where to put everything. She has mastered the skills of delegation at the age of 2! We invested in some new ornaments this year, the non breakable kind, we learned from last years mistakes, that glass bulbs do not belong in a home with a toddler or newborn.

Here are some of our pictures from this years Christmas tree.

Brynn Lizzie

“No my name is Brynn Lizzy, mom!” That is what my girl says to me when I am being stern with her, and I call her Brynn. Brynn is definitely opinionated, what should I expect, she is my daughter! Brynn is now taking gymnastics, which she loves! All of the little boys love Brynn, and I think she knows it. She jumps on the trampoline, climbs the rope, walks on the beam, swings on the bars and falls into the pit, and her favorite somersaults. She loves to wear her leotard; she shakes her hips and strikes a pose whenever someone looks her way. She definitely has a dominate personality, once again I can’t figure out where she got that from?
Brynn loves being a big sister; she loves her “Coop a loop”. For the first six weeks of Cooper’s life she would wake up in the morning and say “who is that, is that Coopa” I would crack up and say, “yup same as yesterday it is Cooper”.  She amazes me everyday with her inquisitive nature. Brynn has taken after Ben in the memory department; she can recite lines that she has heard only once (which is not always good) and she is reading Brown Bear Brown Bear to us at night. I know it is mainly picture based reading, but still it is quite amazing.
Another thing I absolutely LOVE about my Brynn Liz is her heart. I went back to work this week, and it has been especially emotional for me. I was holding Brynn yesterday morning and I was a bit teary and she told me, “mommy it is going to be ok” and she gave me a BIG hug and a kiss, followed with “love you mommy”. That just melted my heart. She runs into our arms when Ben and I get home and I will ask her if she had a good day, and she returns with, did you have a good day mommy?

It is amazing the kind of love you have for your children, and when you think you can’t love them anymore then the next day comes and you find yourself loving them that much more.

Thank you Brynn and Cooper. Mommy and Daddy love you.

2 month Checkup for Cooper

My Big Boy.
I can't believe it has been two months. My boy is getting so big. He is now smiling and making the Coo's and u\Aww sounds. I just love it when he starts smiling at me when I go to get him out of bed. His eyes are still blue and he still has every piece of hair on his head from the day he was born. If you look at pictures of Brynn from when she was born they look like twins. He loves when his daddy moves his legs like he is running and says "go, go, go, go, Cooper run fast. It is funny! I have a few updates so her it goes.
Height 23 inches
Weight 13lbs exactly
50% for weight and 70% for height
Rolling over
Sleeping like a champ: Approx 9pm-4/5am. Mama and Daddy love it.
Coop really loves his play mat now. Between the music and the underwater magic he is in 7th heaven.
Brynn loves to come home (wash up and change) and then tackle her brother with hugs and kisses. She is very protective of her little brother, which is THE BEST.
We are all now H1N1 vaccinated, (well except Coop) so we hope to ward off any future germs that may cause our little guy any harm.

Here are a few pics, hope you enjoy.

See his big blue eyes!!!

Halloween 2009

Halloween has come and gone, but don't freight I have plenty of pictures.
Brynn was a beautiful Fairy Rosetta from the movie Tinkerbell. Brynn chose her because she is Pink and has wings. ;) Cooper was the cutest pumpkin on the block. My niece Julia was a Arobics instructor from the 70's and my nephew Nolan was a Lab Rat he couldn't wear the mask around Brynn because it was REALLY SCARY!
We trick or treated around Nana and Pa's neighborhood to let Brynn have some practice before heading out for the night. Brynn and I went to a Halloween party with Nolan and Aunt Kim. We got to TOT in a really neat neighborhood in Calabasas. There were some amazing decorations in the neighborhood and Brynn would only go to houses that weren't decorated. ;) In her defense some of the houses were really scary. It was a great Halloween and I can't wait for my little man to come out with us next year.
Can you believe it Halloween 2009 has come and gone. Next Thanksgiving!!

Enjoy the Pics.
